Haverhill Landfill - Southern Mound Closure

In March 2011, the City of Haverhill and Aggregate Industries awarded the Southern Mound Closure project to E.T.& L. Corp. Located at the former Haverhill Municipal Landfill,  the Southern Mound contains  35 acres of landfilled waste. Before capping the site, the project first calls for extensive regrading and shaping of 250,000 cubic yards of material. The capping system itself will be Standard MassDEP, using 40 mil HDPE geomembrane liner. E.T.& L. began work in late May 2011, will continue through the winter of 2011 and expects  to complete the project in late 2012.
