May of 2010 brought E.T.& L. Corp. its first Design Build project with CSX Bridge Bundle #3. E.T.& L. is the managing partner in a joint venture with J.F. White Contracting Company for this project for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Bridge Bundle #3 is part of a comprehensive statewide project to raise bridges and, in some locations, undercut the railroad tracks, so that CSX can run their double stack freight trains in and out of Massachusetts. Below are our signature projects.
In 2007, E.T.& L. completed its largest project to date: a $37 million grade-separated interchange replacing the Sagamore Bridge Rotary, infamous for causing terrible traffic on and off the popular vacation destination of Cape Cod. The project essentially lowered Route 6 (Scenic Highway) below Route 3 and constructed a new Route 3 bridge, thus streamlining travel to the Cape.

Just below the northern slope of Mount Greylock lies the 4,300 foot Runway 11-29 at the Harriman & West Airport in North Adams, Massachusetts. E.T.& L. Existing taxiway stubs were also relocated to new locations, a new airfield lighting system was installed, and an extended runway safety area was constructed. The completed runway was reopened on September 30, 2010, one day ahead of the required 110-day...

In 2007, the Massachusetts Highway Department planned a project that would include several Route 3 on-ramps to streamline traffic and make this area more accessible. Having been awarded the $15.9 million contract, E.T.& L. Corp. constructed a new on-ramp for Route 3 northbound...
With this $6.8 million project, E.T.& L. Corp. provided the Town of Brookline with a new 17-acre recreation area complete with athletic field, picnic tables, benches and playground. What makes this site so unique is its green design: Brookline decided to use its inactive Front Landfill for the foundation of the park. Thus, E.T.& L. first closed and capped the existent landfill with a 6” gas venting layer, a 40 millimeter HDPE cap, 12” drainage layer and 8” of...
