Bridge Work
Whether people are traveling over them
or under them, while in a car, on a boat,
or by foot, the bridges of our cities and
towns keep us connected to each other.
E. T. & L. has participated in Massachusetts'
program for rebuilding its bridges and
infrastructure across the state, working for
the Massachusetts Highway Department,
the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, and
the Metropolitan District Commission, as
well as municipalities and private clients.
Engineering expertise in the bridge building field makes E. T. & L. most
competitive in this work. Drawing upon decades of building bridges,
E. T. & L. is able to use this experience to assist private owners and
Engineers in pre-planning and design stages of a project. The
experience also enables E. T. & L. to offer cost saving engineered
alternatives for ongoing projects. The Company performs its own
demolition, earth support, excavation, and concrete work and is able
to closely control the project cost and schedule to accommodate a
particular owner's needs. The company has built many different types
of bridges in both configuration and material. Its projects have
included both steel and precast box beam bridges with single spans
measuring as long as 112 feet and overall lengths greater than 300 feet,
over water, other roadways, and active railroads. E. T. & L. has been
successfully building bridges since the early 1970's and will continue
doing so to ensure our bridges are safe for future generations.
